Experience golf as it is played on the original courses of the British Isles...Without flying across the Atlantic Ocean.
A true Scottish links-style course, Brigantine's open layout and prevailing winds influence club selection. You can play often and not play the same course twice.
For over 70 years, golfers have enjoyed the unique challenges of this 18-hole, par 72 course, which measures 6,570 yards from the back tees. The challenge for the golfer is in the mounding and water hazards found on 14 of the 18 holes.
Built in 1927 as part of the concept for the development of the barrier Island of Brigantine just north of Atlantic City, NJ, the golf pros of that era were said to warm up at Brigantine before setting sail for the British Open.
“Links” to the British Isles…
Similar to Scottish courses in many ways, Brigantine’s open layout and prevailing ocean winds add a challenge to the mounding and water hazards found on 14 of the 18 holes. The greens are relatively small... a bump-and-run strategy is often best for keeping scores low.
